It squeaked in the skigondola when we went up through the Italian fog towards the top of Monte Vigo. Ski boots were tight and the skis placed in the basket hanging out off the carbinedoor. After twenty minutes away by skigondola we drifted into the white milk. It was extremely foggy, cold weather and lots of snow for the season. When the foggy cleared, it was an awesome skiing and in many ways perfect ”manchestermade” slopes.

Northern Italy and Madonna area had for the period very low clouds with dense fog and we did not see the sun at all for the whole week. The most sunshine at the staff at our hotel, they were very happy and accommodating. The hotel team was a big reason that this ski trip was so good. GianFranco found to have talents like village’s fastest driver, waiter, Swedish Vikings and not the least a transvestite, a real joker.
Customary afterski above ”Lovisa hill” in Malghet Aut with assorted snacks and drinks a great atmosphere. Reinforced with classic Italian Bombardino we went down like excellent skiers the last few kilometers to the bottom of the valley accompanied by the hotel’s scooters and light of torches. The evening ended with dinner, grappa, more grappa and dancing on tables and various antics.
A pleasant week with fresh alpine air, exercise, good company and probably many of the guests get a few pounds heavier caused by the excellent Italian food.
